We are currently looking to expand our freelance database for our Mapping Brent project, if you have applied within the last 3 months there is no need to apply again.

Mapping Brent

We have 6 youth theatre groups that run across the year out across Brent. Young people aged 7 – 25 work with professional directors, writers, designers and extensive creative team to develop original pieces of theatre for our Mapping Brent Festival in April 2019. It is their chance to learn new skills, build their confidence, have fun, socialise and make theatre.

The roles:

Directors (£100 per session)

The director works closely with the writer and the group to devise a piece of youth led work.  The director is responsible for ensuring the group develop artistically and within a safe space, leading the staging and vision of the overall work.

Assistant Directors (£50 per session)

The Assistant will help to set up workshops, keep track of registers, collaborate creatively with lead on planning and delivery, and make observations of students’ progress, as well as supporting participants pastorally and with developing confidence, communication and drama skills.

1 to 1 Support (£50 per session)

The 1-1 support will support in the group in a similar way to the assistant directors, while focusing on working closely with individuals who have access needs to ensure that they are able to participate fully in the work and integrate with the group.

  • All roles require experience of working with young people, within a creative environment.
  • We would ideally like to her from those who can commit to the duration of project up to April 2019

The deadline is 10am Monday 10th December 2018. We will be meeting people Friday 14th and Monday 17th December 11-3pm

Front Of House / Box Office Assistants


We are now accepting speculative applicants for casual Front of House Assistants and Box Office Assistants to work on a shift basis, which may differ from week to week and will regularly include Saturdays.

The Front of House team are an integral part of ensuring an enjoyable visitor experience to Kiln Theatre. The main duties are to assist in the smooth running of the Front of House for our theatre and cinema and to provide the best possible customer service possible. You will be welcoming patrons to a brand new theatre, and as their first point of contact will influence their first impression of the venue.
