Write your first short play with workshops, masterclasses and mentoring at Kiln Theatre

If you are a first-time writer aged 18-30 and live, learn or earn in Brent, we’d love to meet you this December at a taster workshop for the Listen Local Young Writers Programme.

We are looking for the future generation of writers. Ten young people will be selected and paid to develop their writing skills for live performance. They will work with industry experts and artists to create their own short piece which will be performed by professional actors, on the Kiln Theatre stage.

We have created a course where you are entitled to express your points of view and realise your story. Participants don’t have to have written anything before, but if you have something to say, we want to hear it. All writing that participants do as part of the programme belongs to them.

The ten writers selected for the programme are paid at London Living Wage to take part in all workshops.

Sign up for a taster workshop here. Please note we are only able to invite applicants who meet the programme criteria to the taster workshops. You will be contacted to confirm if you have a place at a taster workshop.
