“An achingly beautiful film that’s sexy, sad and so very French” ★★★★ Time Out

A tangled tale of ménage à trois in Paris, Passages tells the story of married couple Tomas (Great Freedom’s Franz Rogowski) and Martin (Ben Whishaw). Both creatives, Tomas has a semi-veiled drive for life outside of the lines of their relationship. Cue Agathe (Blue is the Warmest Colour’s Adèle Exarchopoulos), who launches into a one-night stand with Tomas. Yet, the outcome of this scenario is more Jules et Jim than The Affair. As the seasons pass, Tomas finds a way to make hopping beds a just-tolerated indulgence, but for how long?

From Ira Sachs, the director of the beautifully observed Love is Strange and Little Men, this brings together three of Europe’s best actors for a take on loving a narcissist that is as intimate as it is explicit. Expect sparks!
