The Spin

Take High Fidelity and take it on a road trip around Ireland, and you’ve got a good way into describing The Spin, a charmingly fuzzy-around-the-edges comedy. In Omagh, County Tyrone, Elvis (Owen Colgan) and Dermot (Brenock O’Connor) run record shop Boneyard Records, but are at risk of foreclosure. Spotting an online listing for a criminally undervalued record, they head across country to grab it and save the shop, picking up waifs and strays and redeeming some of their biggest mistakes. 

A shaggy dog story with an independent Irish spirit, this is a feel good treat with lightly worn, quietly hilarious dialogue.
