All Rivers Spill Their Stories to the Sea + Q&A
06 Oct 2026
- Directed by Jeanie Finlay
- 99 mins
We are delighted to be joined by director Jeanie Finlay for an in-person Q&A following the screening on 6th October.
In this poignant and inspiring documentary, a fisherman stands up against powerful forces. When a tidemark of poisoned crabs and lobsters devastates a small North East fishing town in England, veteran fisherman Stan Rennie becomes the unlikeliest of activists. A wry David and Goliath story, told with gallows humour and a strong local accent, about the grief of navigating a world which has suddenly, inexplicably changed forever.
Director Jeanie Finlay is one of the UK’s best documentarians, able to bring humanity and humour to complex situations in films including Your Fat Friend, The Great Hip Hop Hoax, Seahorse and Panto!.
