Listen Local Young Writers
January 2024 – July 2024
Listen Local Young Writers is a project for ten first–time writers aged 18-30 who live, learn or earn in Brent. The group are paid at London Living Wage to attend weekly workshops, receive dramaturgical support, and attend 1:1 tutorials with Kiln’s New Work Associate. Each writer will develop their first short play exploring themes of heritage, using stimuli from the Brent Museum and Archives. The pieces will be performed by professional actors in rehearsed readings at Kiln Theatre in July 2024.
