BOOK BUILDING TOUR

On 17 November we will throw open our doors, offering everyone a chance to see the new venue, get involved in fun activities and celebrate the local talent of Brent!

Community Day will include free tours of the newly refurbished theatre from local experts, performances in the public spaces by Irish folk bank Pookawn and steel band Phoenix Rising, a workshop session led by Dr. Farham Samanani about informal care and community in Brent, cake decoration and free family cinema screenings.

All activities are free and open to everyone. We look forward to seeing you!

SCHEDULE 
10am – Building opens
10.10am – Cupcake decorating
10.15am – Paddington screening
10.15am – Walk-in children’s storytelling workshops (until 12:00)
10.30am – Building tours start
12.45pm – Live music from steel band Phoenix Rising and Irish folk band Pookawn
1pm – Dr. Farhan Samanani workshop session about informal care and community in Brent
1pm – The Lego Batman Movie screening

BUILDING TOURS BY KILN THEATRE HERITAGE STORYTELLERS

Kiln Theatre are excited to launch a brand new series of heritage building tours that explore the history of the building and local community. Each Heritage Storyteller has created their own unique tour that will delve into their first-hand experience of the building and Brent.  The team of volunteers have creatively worked alongside director and professional storyteller Nick Cassenbaum to bring to life these new and untold stories. Audiences will be led through the new theatre and discover what it means to the people who come here.
