Dawn Bowery

Mon 4 Jan 2010 – Sat 6 Feb 2010

The Tricycle Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition by London based photographer Dawn Bowery. As an artist with a creative background working in visual effects for both film and television in Britain and the United States, she is now combining her years of professional experience with a passion for photography and travel.

Through a natural empathy for her subject matter Dawn’s photographs entice the viewer into often unseen worlds, whilst her elegant aesthetic awareness brings a classic sense of composition with a unique treatment of colour. Within this current body of work are a selection of photographs taken in New York, Cuba, China and Morocco. Together the images weave an intimate narrative of a rich and deeply textured world. Her work fuses a deeply personal photographic approach with the visual grammar of the travelogue and modern digital imaging techniques.

Dawn’s work was selected as part of this year Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy of Arts and she has recently exhibited at the Warde-Nasse Gallery in New York.

To accompany the exhibition a series of limited edition prints will be available.
