For anyone craving for the days of the ‘90s disaster flick, put down the VHS and get yourself to the movies. Twisters, the reimagining of the meteorological mayhem classic from 1996, is ready to sweep you up. A film of superb set pieces and equally strong character work (as one would expect from the thoughtful director of Sundance winner Minari), Twisters also gives Keanu and Meg Ryan a run for their money in the shape of Glenn Powell (Anyone But You, Top Gun: Maverick) and Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People).

Kate (Edgar-Jones) has an intuitive sense of storm-chasing, but after tragedy struck, she has distanced herself from the subculture. Enter Tyler (Powell) a Youtuber and extreme weather junkie, whose taste from adrenaline puts him at the eye of the storm. Their quest to predict and tame the tornado takes them to the brink of disaster in this highly enjoyable summer blockbuster.
