Light Up Kilburn

The artwork on the windows at the front of our building has been commissioned by Hive Curates and in partnership with Love Camden for Light Up Kilburn. The artist, Andy Welland took inspiration from participants who engage with Kiln Theatre, who were asked ‘What does Kiln mean to you’? Responses could include text, songs or images.

The artwork will be backlit from 6-9pm each evening throughout the month, launching Friday 9 February.

On Saturday 24 February as part of the Light up Kilburn closing ceremony, local performers aged 50+ from Kiln’s Move at the Movies project will activate the artwork at timed intervals from 6-9pm with movement.

You’re invited to watch the performance by looking up from Kilburn High Road. To follow along with the music the performers are dancing to, please access the playlist below. This music was selected by the group and Kiln Creative Engagement participants in response to the question ‘What does Kiln mean to you?’
