Kiln Theatre is a dynamic building, with a rich history and a variety of spaces to suit any event.

Our Theatre and Cinema spaces offer the possibility for unique events. We’re a thriving theatre building with our own Bar, Café, rehearsal and entertaining spaces and multi-use cinema space – all of which offer the opportunity to host rehearsals, workshops, private functions, meetings/auditions, screenings and special events. To compliment your hire, we can also offer a range of Catering options tailored to your event.  

Located on the bustling Kilburn High Road, Kiln is a conveniently located venue with easy transport links to the city via Kilburn and Brondesbury station and a variety of bus connections.

Kiln Theatre Auditorium

Redeveloped as part of Kiln’s 2018 capital project, the Main House has a 290 seat capacity across two levels, with flexible seating options and level access and wheelchair accessibility to our Stalls level.  

Please note, the Main House is unavailable for hire for externally produced performances due to the programming of Kiln’s own theatrical season, however please get in touch if you have a one-off, large scale special event you are looking to host,  hires@kilntheatre.com.

Rehearsal Room

Kiln Theatre’s main Rehearsal Room is a bright, open space measuring 14.75m x 8.3m with a standing capacity of 100 and 70 seated in theatre-style. Featuring a private balcony overlooking the building’s Cinema entrance, the space is perfect for a variety of activities including, rehearsals, workshops, conferences or private events.  

The Rehearsal Room is located on the first floor of the building and is wheelchair accessible. Hires can also include the room’s adjacent Quiet Room as a breakout space, office or dressing room.

James Baldwin Studio

The James Baldin Studio is Kiln’s intimate studio space measuring 8.45m x 6.75m with a standing capacity of 50 or 30 seated for workshops and 25 in boardroom-style. The space is ideal for smaller scale rehearsals or workshops. 

Located on the first floor, the room is wheelchair accessible. The space also features an upright piano and can include audio visual set-ups on request.  

John Lyons Space

Nestled in the heart of Kiln Theatre, the John Lyon Space is a welcoming and dynamic space, which can be transformed for daytime workshops and conferences, to evening receptions and events.  

Measuring 8.75m x 6.45m, it has a standing capacity of 70 and 40 seated. Its proximity and openness to the Bar area and adjoining foyer spaces, also have the potential to transform the space from a relaxed and secluded environment to a bustling party atmosphere, with a larger capacity for guests.

Susie Sainsbury Foyer

A quiet and secluded hideaway upstairs in our Circle foyer, The Susie Sainsbury foyer can host up to 30 standing for reception events.  

The space can be used as an add on to hires or as an intimate function space for pre or post receptions for events in our Cinema or Theatre.  

Exclusive use of the Susie Sainsbury foyer can be arranged in conjunction with a pre-order through our Catering department.   

Please note there is no wheelchair access to Kiln Theatre’s Circle level.  

Kiln Café

Located at the front entrance of our building, our Café offers a private and intimate function space for 30 people standing, with easy access for guests to Kilburn High Road.  

Exclusive use of the Café can be arranged in conjunction with a pre-order through our Catering department.   

Kiln Cinema

Kilburn’s cinematic gem, Kiln Cinema boasts an 8 metre screen, 267 seating capacity and our unique programming features the latest independent titles alongside current blockbusters, National Theatre Live screenings, Q&As, festivals and more.  

Looking for a venue for your upcoming special event?
