Arrive Build Create and Schools
Kiln’s programme Arrive Build Create is a drama project which has been running for over 10 years for young people who have experience of migration, have recently arrived in the UK and/or who identify as refugees or asylum seekers. We work with local schools and college’s EAL/ ESOL departments to provide creative drama-based sessions, which aim to develop students’ creativity, confidence in written and spoken English and engagement in arts and culture.
At Kiln, we believe all young people should have access to arts and culture and are passionate about making sure our projects and productions are affordable and accessible to local schools. Our Schools programme includes Backstage Workshops (behind the scenes interactive tour), Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for teachers, Teacher Previews (free tickets and show related workshops for Brent Teachers), Resource Packs (interactive education tools for each Kiln show to be used in the classroom) and School Residencies (bespoke longitudinal projects which are co-designed with Brent schools).
