The Marching Band

We first find Thibaut (Benjamin Lavernhe) conducting an orchestra, but when he falls down on the job, he is diagnosed with a condition that only familial bone marrow will cure. Discovering not only that he is adopted but he has a brother who has led a far less rarefied life, he finds his cure. But canteen worker Jimmy (Pierre Lottin) has a favour to ask in return: his marching band needs a conductor. Taking up the baton, good natured, detuned chaos ensues.

A feel-good comedy about finding connection with those you share blood with (if little else!), The Marching Band was a major hit in France and it’s easy to see why.
