Russell Crowe and Rami Malek face off in this gripping courtroom drama that exposes new light on one of World War II’s most infamous aftershocks. Awaiting trial for war crimes, Hermann Goring (Crowe) is attended by psychiatrist David M. Kelley (Malek), whose official charge is to prevent suicide before the Reich’s top brass are brought to justice. But Kelley wants to probe the mindset that caused such horror, and so begins a gripping game of psychological cat and mouse. 

Writer/director James Vanderbilt – who wrote David Fincher’s Zodiac – has crafted a strikingly alive historical drama, in which the eventual destination never feels like a fait accompli, but a compelling moral maze that has unsettling resonances with the times we are living through.
