Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson star as young lovers Grace and Jackson who set up home in the backwoods of Montana. Their magnetic passion and wild, boundaryless love start to curdle as isolation and post-natal depression start to bite into Grace. Possessed of a splintering rage, she seeks outlet in the mysterious stranger who passes by their home on motorbike (LaKeith Stanfield).
