This is the second film in director Jean-François Richet’s two-part chronicle of the life of French master criminal, Jacques Mesrine.

Following his outlandish criminal exploits and eventual imprisonment overseas, Mesrine (Vincent Cassel) is back on French soil and in police custody facing charges for a long list of illegal activities. But after kidnapping the judge and fleeing the courtroom during his trial, the audacious gangster goes on the run and is named public enemy number one with Commander Broussard (Olivier Gourmet) is on his tail, doggedly tracking the villain.
