Listen Local Young Writers

January 2024 – July 2024

Listen Local Young Writers, a project for ten first–time writers aged 18-30 who live, learn or earn in Brent. The group were paid at London Living Wage to attend weekly workshops, receive dramaturgical support, and attend 1:1 tutorials with Kiln’s Associate Artistic Director.

The pieces were performed by professional actors in rehearsed readings at Kiln Theatre in July 2024. The writers were: Alexandra Etudor, Ayan Philip, Carina Chatlani, Faizan Ahmed, Kitty Falcon, Louise Aquino, Mike O’Neill, Muniira Ali, Paige Gelder, Philip Ofe.
