Backstage Workshops

Backstage Workshops provide a practical opportunity for students to learn about backstage roles and how these enable a production to run.  Brent schools are invited to bring a group to the theatre for a behind the scenes tour of a set and an interactive workshop led by members of the Kiln Theatre production team and freelance backstage creatives and crew. Students undertake activities such as operating the set, lighting, sound, making props, working with costume and taking part in a Q&A with industry professionals.  The Backstage Workshops are open to state secondary schools from Brent to attend for free alongside each production.

“The whole team were so welcoming and giving. We were very grateful. I cannot say thank you enough to you and your colleagues. The effort by so many was richly appreciated by all. It was one of the best workshops I have ever witnessed.”  Teacher Feedback
