Minding The Gap Evaluation 2023

From January – March 2023, external evaluator Mita Pujara undertook an evaluation of the Minding the Gap programme. This 360° evaluation identifies the successes, challenges, methodology, learning, and recommendations for Minding The Gap. It highlights the positive educational, artistic, social, psychological, well-being and professional or pedagogical outcomes for its beneficiaries – far surpassing the expectations for a project of this scope and size. The impact is significant for the 123 young people, EAL/ESOL teachers and trainees. The evaluation methodology sits within the field of Applied Theatre and intersects with rigorous academic research from fields including Drama, Education, Psychology, and Creativity. Its revised evaluation framework identifies SMART outcomes with appropriate data collection systems to assess progress. Alongside this, the Story of Change clearly demonstrates how and why this programme has achieved its aims and impact.
