Bye Bye Tiberias

A moving documentary essay and winner of best documentary at London Film Festival, Bye Bye Tiberias focuses on the echoing effects of war on the Palestinian people, as told by one family’s experience of exile. Director Lina Soualem unfolds her story via the recollections of her mother Hiam Abbass, familiar to Western audiences from her roles in Succession and Ramy. Through a treasure trove of archive footage, we follow the consequences of the family for their expulsion from the family home of Tiberias.
