Civil War

The United States, the modern day: California and Texas have seceded, and are now making incursions on the nation’s capital. A ragtag group of photojournalists set out to capture the carnage. Jessie (Priscilla’s Cailee Spaeny) tags along with veterans Lee (Kirsten Dunst) and Sammy (Stephen McKinley Henderson). Their reason for being there is to capture disaster, but have they underestimated the personal risks in this fractured nation?

From writer-director Alex Garland, who has created such memorable speculative fiction as Ex Machina, Annihilation as well as 28 Days Later, Sunshine and Never Let Me Go, this is incredibly gripping filmmaking that lifts the lid on a divided America with superb set pieces and the cream of US actors.
