Everybody Digs Bill Evans + Q&A

We are delighted to be joined by director Grant Gee for a Q&A at our screening on 18th September.

Jazz great Bill Evans is seen at a series of mortal crossroads in this kaleidoscopic biopic that is wonderfully poignant, whether you’re a jazz head or not. We first meet Evans –played by The Worst Person in the World’s Anders Danielsen Lie – as he is creatively blocked by the death of his bandmate Scott LaFaro. Evans own precarious existence is sketched via the relations with his own family, including a trip to Florida to see his parents, wonderfully played by greats Bill Pullman and Laurie Metcalf (Ladybird).

Director Grant Gee jumps from documentary maker to fiction, bringing his inventive approach and passion for music from films including Joy Division and Meeting People is Easy.
