80 cast members, ages 6-88

Since September 2025, 80 local people aged 6 – 88 have met weekly to share memories and local histories. Working with co-directors Kane Husbands and Izzy Rabey, they’ve developed scenes with movement, music and storytelling, which have been transformed into a new play by Sonia Jalaly.

When local residents find a mysterious object in Kilburn, excitement spreads through the streets. Thwarted by the authorities, who want to display the object in central London, the people set out to build a museum, where they can remember the stories, places and people, right here in the community. From local buildings, beloved restaurants and shops to community landmarks and unsung local heroes, step into the Museum of Kilburn.

In our largest community production yet, this show will kick off the festival, as well as our new season.
