From Latin America House and Kiln Theatre
Latin America House
Join us for a multidisciplinary arts festival hosted by Latin American House as part of their 40th year, in partnership with Kiln Theatre as part of Celebrating Our Stories: The Kilburn High Road Project. The event will celebrate the work of Latin American artists and invite audiences to participate in practical workshops, watch performances and films.
The festival will include: The Happy Homeless, a theatre performance by Laura Mobilia which follows the journey of a woman from Argentina to London and the adventures she encounters along the way; El Limite, a theatre performance by Wendy Sanchez, in which two rival gang members find themselves in isolation with only each other for support in finding their way back to reality; An acting workshop with Gledys Ibarra; A music workshop with Angelica Lopez; A visual art exhibition; A practical performance workshop for children and young people and, to end the event, we will host the Latin American House 48 Hour Film Challenge screenings and awards ceremony.
Celebrating Our Stories: The Kilburn High Road Project is a three-year place-based project, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund with thanks to National Lottery players. Through co-creation, Kiln will work with organisations, residents and community groups to share stories ad celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the area.
