Kiln Theatre presents
LISTEN LOCAL YOUNG WRITERS REHEARSED READINGS
Join us to hear the work of ten first time local writers on stage at Kiln Theatre. These plays all explore themes of heritage, using stimuli from the Brent Museum and Archives.
The writers have been paid at London Living Wage to take part in workshops as they developed their first short play for performance in rehearsed reading.
This year’s Listen Local Young Writers is part of Celebrating Our Stories: The Kilburn High Road Project. Over three years and through co-creation, we will uncover and showcase the tangible and intangible heritage of people who live and have lived near Kilburn High Road. Local residents are invited to participate in heritage-inspired activities that will amplify the voices of the communities who call Kilburn home. The project will bring local people together to celebrate Kilburn, its communities and cultures.
