Boy Erased

When Jared (Lucas Hedges) is outed as gay to his conservative parents, his embarrassed Baptist Preacher father (Russell Crowe) pressures him into attending a conversion therapy course.

He is accompanied during his twelve-day residence by his mother (Nicole Kidman), who finds herself struggling with her belief system as her son’s torment becomes apparent.

Based on the memoir by Garrard Conley, Boy Erased is a touching depiction of love in the face of prejudice.
