Chevalier

Inspired by the incredible true story, Chevalier tells the tale of an illegitimate son of a French plantation owner and an African slave who became recognised in the French court as a musical prodigy and master fencer. Yet not all are happy for his ascendancy, and Marie Antoinette’s court looks unkindly on a mixed race man taking centre stage.
