Faces Places

Filmmaker Agnès Varda and photographer/muralist JR are unlikely friends, but share a passion for images and places. After meeting in 2015, the pair set out to shoot a film showcasing the ordinary people of rural France. This acclaimed documentary (winner of the Cannes L’Œil d’or Award 2017) tells the story of Agnès and JR’s friendship, their chance encounters and the moving effects of their joint project.
