“A deliciously dark coming-of-age comedy.” ★★★★★ The Guardian

A debut film that’s wise and witty beyond its years, Funny Pages is a story of New York losers and creeps, full of painfully funny moments.

After Robert (Daniel Zolghadri) loses his art school mentor in ugly circumstances, he quickly finds himself working as a clerk, when he’s not mouthing off in the comic shop. Despite his self-declared genius, Robert can’t find himself a place on a higher rung of life, and his descent into New York hell is acerbically hilarious.

Recalling other stories of young New Yorkers colliding with life such as Girls and The Squid and the Whale, as well as the cringe-inducing comedies of Todd Solondz, Funny Pages is a cult film in the making.
