The Aftermath

It is 1946 and Rachael Morgan (Kiera Knightly) accompanies her husband, Colonel Lewis Morgan (Jason Clarks) to Hamburg, where is is keeping the peace between the citizens. Unwilling to reclaim a local house as his own, Lewis allows the previous tenants to live in the attic.

As the cracks in her marriage become increasingly apparent, Rachael finds herself drawn to Stefan (Alexander Skarsgård), the sensitive and grieving architect with who she shares her home. The lonely souls are drawn together – but their passion is at risk from devastating consequences.
